2009 Chevy Impala has ABS light on.

Asked by Guru9S1CMC Oct 07, 2021 at 10:46 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Impala LTZ FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went into a shop for oil change - ABS light came on after I went to leave and
flashed. I went back, they cleared code and said it was okay. I went to leave
again - turned sharp right and ABS light came back on flashing and made
beeping noise each time. I noticed when it does this, sometimes my braking
is messing up (I figured its the ABS trying to work but not working correctly). I
took both ABS fuses out - and noticed yesterday my gas pedal feels like at
times when I'm at a steady speed that my pedal is releasing power and I feel
as if I have to press on it more. All of this is new since the ABS light stays on.
Please help..

Most likely they unplugged the wiring going to one of the front ABS wheel sensors. They need to plug it back in! Or if they somehow damaged the wiring going to the sensor they need to fix it for free!! The ABS light didn't just come on for no reason! Hope that helps!! Jim
