Does anybody know how to disable the 5-second safety beep that indicates the top isn't closed?

Asked by kharville Jul 06, 2015 at 01:36 PM about the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2009 Mitsubish Eclipse Spyder, top will close and latch, but the sensor that indicates the roof is closed is broken, so the 5-second beep goes off even though the roof is safely closed.  Can you disable this 5-second beep?

It's fuse 24 in the inside fuse panel under the dash.
