Air condition

Asked by GuruT2F3S Jul 17, 2018 at 11:45 AM about the 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Air condition comes out of windshild vents rather than front vent. I replaced
the blend door located under right panel near the gas pedal and no change.
This is an intermittent problem. Works correctly maybe 3% of the time.

A blend door only affects air temp, the air is directed to various vents by one or more "mode" doors. Make sure the door you changed was the right one! If your vehicle has the EATC (pretty sure it does), put it through a self diagnosis to look for potential problems. Check your owner manual or an online guide/video for a how to.
