Mixing E85 with regular unleaded

Asked by QueenyTR3B Jul 12, 2018 at 06:15 PM about the 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Ultimate

Question type: General

I was short on cash about a week ago around
midnight and the only gas station I could find that
was open had E85 gasoline I have a 2002 Mercury
Grand Marquis LS. I didn't have any problems and I
still am not having any problems running with it is
it cool if I put like a quarter E85 and then the rest
unledded?  If so which would be best premium or
regular? Thanks

You are rolling the dice unless you have a flex fuel engine. You really are not saving any money as the E85 reduces fuel economy.
