I have a 1984 mustang gt and the air just started
blowing hot air. No other problems just hit and I

If clutch is engaging and not clicking on and off sounds like the orfice tube filter is clogged this is a filter that is in the high side line ( small line ) of A.C system. A special tool is needed to separate line and a pair of needle nose pliers is needed to remove filter from inside line.

You will need to check the pressure first, if its really high then it could be a clog, but you need to get a set of gauges on the system...
