I is it my transmission

When in driveing my 2007 chevy
impala I get to about 50 and it starts
jerking it feels like the transmission
slipping I checked the transmission
fluid it was low so i added a half of a
quart any help will be greatly
appreciated

Ed92626 is right. When the engine isn't running smoothly, the transmission gets confused and won't work correctly either. Probably just a coincidence that the tranny was a little low on fluid. So yes, do a complete engine tune up and you might even want to change fluid/filter in the transmission soon after.
