How to open Fiero hood?

When you pull the latch in your dashboard and the primary cable is broken, there's a secondary cable next to it behind a plug. If both cables are broken, you have to get under the car and reach up behind the radiator and snake your hand up to the latch and trip it, or use pliers to grasp the cable... Believe me, it's not easy.

If the latch in the dash has just detached from the cable, get under the dash and pull the cable.
