Replace radiator 2007 Kia Spectra

Asked by billthecat Sep 25, 2014 at 08:19 PM about the 2007 Kia Spectra LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm thinking of buying a 2007 Kia Spectra Lx 4 door sedan. 2.0 L 14 F1 DOHC 16v front wheel drive with 95,000 mile on it. It was in a fender bender. Don't know if you need that info. The car has a cracked radiator. Is this vehicle easy to replace the radiator or is it hooked up to the A/C, water pump or fan? Would you recommend this to someone who has only replace headlights, cap and rotor, spark plugs & wires? Thank you.

It's kind of a pain in the butt to do. You might have other issues along with the radiator. The transmission cooler and a/c condenser are located in front or behind the radiator. So a good chance they might be damaged as well. Take it to a REPUTABLE mechanic.
