Idle high

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1990 k1500. Its idle high. Codes show a EGR , tps,
IAC, and now its shifting hard. Put it in drive and it almost
gives you whiplash.. You have to hit 30+ before it shifts out
of first. If you take off and stomp it. It shifts OK. Any help
on what is wrong with it.

Have you looked for any vacuum leaks? High idle is typical of unmetered air. Spritz a very light amount of starting fluid in and around vacuum lines or throttle body, if you get a corresponding bump in throttle you found where it's leaking from.

Not yet. It just started this tonight on my way home from work. It showed 1 code. EGR then today it showed the other codes. Didnt know if the egr would cause all of this

Egr, tps and iac can all cause this. Will the idle drop if you unplug the iac? Tps?

I'm working on it in the morning. I ordered all new parts. Going to change one at as time to see what causes it.
