1992 chevy 1500 not starting

Asked by Julio Mar 17, 2017 at 10:10 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Stepside RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a new alenator new starter and a charged
battery. All i can do is jump start my truck and it
starts right up. Side post battery cleaned all the
grounds tighten all the conections. How can i jump
start my truck and it start but cant turn the key to
start it?

Maybe your battery is not any good. I would have it load tested.

I went got it tested they charged it and said it was a good battery. Could it be a fusible link ?

No. If the truck starts with a jump the link is OK. I would double check all the battery connections.
