when you dump fuel in the TBI unit it will fire up ? I'd say replace the fuel lines/filter

Could be many things, water in the fuel tank, locked up fuel pump, corroded and or collapsed fuel lines, wiring issues. The list just keeps going. Sitting is a bad thing on any vehicle with a computer for engine management.

When you turn the ignition on you should have power at the fuel pump for about 5 seconds. If you do, replace the fuel pump and clean the tank. Replace the fuel filter and, depending on how long it's been sitting, blow out the fuel lines with compressed air. If you don't have power at the fuel pump, check for power at the fuel pump relay. If you have power there but not at the pump, replace the relay. If you don't have power at the relay it's time to start checking fuses. Keep in mind that rodents love to chew on wires and this is a real possibility. Especially if the vehicle was stored outside. Hope that helps! Jim
