C1500 wont start without starter fluid

Asked by Jazz Jan 25, 2020 at 12:23 AM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne Stepside RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaced fuel filter and injectors as I thought
they were bad. Yet my truck still wont start without
starter fluid. Haven't pressure checked it yet. Fuses
and relays look good. Also fuel goes all the way up
to the check value right before it hooks up to the
injectors. Any helpful thoughts or advice is
appreciated.

No sure how that ignition switch works but i did have a ford escort that had a bad ignition switch. It only gave power to the fuel pump in the “run” position.
