starter fluid get it going short time

88 350 tbi  Wont start. Starter fluid getis it going for short time and it dies like fuel starved.or water in fuel??
Happened last week and using starter fluid got it going..

Try using Heet in the gas tank. I would also change the fuel filter and you need to check to see if the fuel pump is coming on. Listen for a hum at the gas tank when you turn the key on.
