Question type: Maintenance & Repair

99 chevy 1500 4.3. Will crank bit not start. I had to
use starter fluid ijto the intake anout 10 times and
it finally started after reving gas too. Ran fine after
started until shut off. I have checked all
basics...fuel, spark, pump, and fuses. Whats next? I
have been told that the distributor is a common
issue and to go there next.

Distributor only distributes spark to each sparkplug at the propper time, if u said u have checked spark, then it's not the distributor unless it's not rotating or jas skipped time, but if that was the case it wouldn't run by spraying quick start. Check actual fuel pressure and see what it is. Are u getting any engine codes
