There's no power to fuel pump.

Asked by cats1camaro Jul 28, 2014 at 05:28 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Jumped direct power to pump and worked. Changed fuel pump relay, but still no power.
Could the problem be in the computer or just a faulty new relay?

Do you have power at the pump? Check power before and after the relay, and before and after the fuse. Look for broken or lose wires. The good news is the fuel pump works, so getting power to it is what you need to figure out. Start at the pump and work backwards. If it all leads to the computer, I believe there is a test to make sure the computer board is working. It even could be the ignition switch not sending a signal to the computer. Happy hunting. Frustrating i know, but when you fix it, the work is well justified. Enjoy the moment.
