low beams on my 2005 rainier go out

on occasion the low beams on my rainier go out. i then have to use high beams.
sometimes they will come back on by themselves. i have asked two mechanics to check
this for me. they both had the same answer. "we need to see it happen to fix it!"  Well, i
dont think they want to ride around with me all night. what's wrong?

They won't have to ride around with you all night. Sounds like a bad headlight switch, hi/low beam switch or corroded wires.
