Question type: General

So if your buick or GM 3.8L V6 series 2
engine shuts off after about 30 mins of
driving or running... It was my brand
new $90.00 mass airflow sensor. I
replaced my coil packs, ignition control
module, air intake temp sensor, coolant
temp sensor and my throttle motor
position sensor... It was my mass air
flow again. Unplug it and your car will
drive again. If not try the things I
replaced...

After replacing all those things I remembered the way my car ran when my own mass air flow sensor failed. It over heats and will not allow your car to run until it cools down. I had my crankshaft position sensor replaced before the problem started so I had known it wast the issue. If you unplug the mass air flow sensor it will start and get you anywhere if that is the issue. My problem will hopefully help you if you're having the same issue. Also I bought a cheap mass air flow sensor before I bought the $90.. On eBay for $15-$20. Don't buy they are not the same and only lasted a week. Garbage. Make sure you never spray any cleaners on those sensors or it will brake them. Good luck guys
