Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn my car off the dash lights and trunk light cycle on and off. I can
hear something clicking. If I turn on the parking lights it will stop. If I turn the
lights off it starts again. Nothing else will work while this is happening. I have
to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Does anyone know about this or if
there is a solenoid or relay that may be bad?

make sure that the fuse box is not wet somehow and is creating some short. Or it could be a faulty ignition switch or just a bad alternator.

None of the fuse boxes are wet. Ignition works fine when the battery is reconnected and alternator charges fine.
