Limp in mode!

So i have an 01 dodge ram 1500 5.9 with
136,XXX miles and this problem occured... I
came to a complete stop and once i
accelerate its stuck in 2nd gear. I can stomp
my foot on the floor and the damn thing will
not go over 2000 rpms until about 35-40
mph. But when i turn off the vehicle in park
and begin to drive its fine. Only when i come
to a complete stop it stays in 2nd. There is
no check engine lights on. I have recently
changed my governor solenoid, transducer,
filter, and fluid. I've attempted to tighten the
bands and they wont budge. Im beginning to
lose hope. I know its in limp in mode cause
its acting the same way but from what ive
read is that it always throws a light or code, i
have yet to use a scan tool on it since i do
not own one. Please i need help! Thanks!

This sound,s like a ECM problem,only say this because you said when you turn it off it reset,s.

And the ECM want throw a code if it is stupid itself.

Now should i buy a new one? Is it as easy as just taking the old one out and putting a new one in? Or should i go to a junkyard and pull a few out and see if they fix the issue?

If you replace it,the numbers,s on the ECM must match to be able to just swap out,or you may can have the old one reflashed.

Alright well monday i will take my truck to a shop and see what the problem is, i hoping that i can just have the ECM reflashed and thats it. Ill let you know

as many have said - many reasons for the issue, which includes... 1. bad battery 2. bad throttle body sensor 3. water in sensor area for throttle body 4. bad battery connections - corrosion around battery terminal 5. wire harness loose to throttle body or battery 6. dirty throttle body 7. water in sensor area to parking brake sensor in back spare tire area in trunk (for jags) 8. Mass Air Flow sensors dirty or bad 9. ECM has loose connections
