Asked by Alex Nov 19, 2016 at 06:25 PM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Starts out fine for bout 15 miles then downshift to
third and will stay there. But if I stop and shut truck
off and start it back up it will drive fine again for a
little while then back to limp mode. Does anybody
have a idea of what sensor could be bad. I have
changed fluid and filter and still does it.

Throttle body position sensor or the sensor in the gas pedal assembly. My 2005 did it in May and the sensor in the gas pedal assembly was bad.
