What causes oil to smell like gas

Oil pressure needle goes up and down and
truck spits and sputters

Blowed intake gasket,letting fuel go by the pistons,that is why your oil smells like fuel.

If it's the 4.3 you have a leaking fuel pressure regulator. Very common
