2002 S10 Crew Cab 4x4 rated for 5500 lb's tow capacity

I have a 2002 S10 Crew Cab 4x4 rated for 5500 lb's tow capacity.  Has about 160k miles but exceptionally maintained.  Has a 4.3 V6 and 4 speed automatic.  Can I safely tow a 4500 lb tag along traval trailer?

If it is rated for 5,500 pounds 4,500 should not be an issue if you have trailer brakes.
