98 CR-V hesitates at low RPMS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car sputters at low RPMS. Recent items changed, Coil pack in distributor, rotor, cap, plug wires plugs this was all around 150,000. didn't look at thes items yet tried to check the cranl position sensor but couldn't get it apart. I also don't know what it should ohm out too. has around 178000 now. don't know where to start. it starts & idles sputters at low RPMs. Was afraid to push it when this happened so I don't know how well it will react at higher RPMs

I would do a compression test the CRV-S i have had in my shop that have this problem all have had valve issues

Just so I'm clear. I was driving, Then parked the vehicle, 10 min tops. Started vehicle. drove away. after about 150yrds I stopped for a stop sign the problem appeared. I'm still going to do the compression test. I just want to make sure I have given all the info i can. Thanx, jmahigel
