2006 Cr-V "Chatters"

Asked by Frunk Aug 11, 2011 at 10:38 AM about the 2006 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My CR-V "chatters" at about 60 KMH and sometimes at 80 KMH. Feels like I am on a small washboard. Only happens on slight acceleration at these two speeds. Appears to be shifting gears smoothly, with no hesitation. No indicator lights flashing either.

Have you changed the rear differential fluid at all? This was the problem with our 2006 crv, but at low turning it also vibrated big time!!

Hi, Yes, I had the differential changed and bingo! success. Thanks for your response.

This sounds like your tires need balancing. If it were the front end out of line, it would shake at slower speeds and smooth out at 70mph

I apologize! I answered on the wrong post, and I just now got on here, I don't know how to delete it
