What does "power kick off" mean? The engine stalls? The RPM's do not increase?

like you turn off the key... update found at about 3500 rpm the alternator starts to overcharge.
There are many reasons an alternator may start to overcharge. From mechanical reasons to electronic. Since your vehicle seems to be experiencing an electronic malfunction, I would suspect an electronic problem, possibly a signal interruption from the PCM which tells the alternator how much to charge. This will require someone with electronic testing equipment to find the cause. Or, someone who has experienced the same problem and has already found the cause.
