There is a good chance you burned the ground wire to the chassis. If that is not the case you are going to need a wiring diagram and a volt meter. If you have no power anywhere begin back checking from the battery. First, is there voltage from the battery to the solenoid? That is only a few inches away. If no, suspect a burned out ground somewhere.

You probably blew the diode in the new alternator. Have you checked it out also.
