2002 Chevy Malibu won't start
My 2002 Chevy Malibu overheated and wouldn't
start the battery died after trying to start it so I tried
to jump start it and it wouldn't start so I bought a
new battery thinking that was the problem but even
after putting in the battery it won't start and it's not
flashing Anti-Theft on the dash so I don't know
what's going on please help
Sounds like there is no spark from the coil. You can have that tested at Auto Zone, or it can be other ignition parts also. If there is no fuel pressure it will not start also.
I had the same problem. My 2002 Malibu wouldn't crank for two days. All of the sudden it started like nothing was wrong with it. Now it's over heating. Apparently his is very common in the 2002 Malibu. I read a little about it online. Please give me a update to let me know how you resolved the issue. I'm very curious. Thanks
It sounds like fuel pump but check the fuse or relay first
My 2005 Chevy Malibu has problems starting in cold weather. After many attempts, drained battery. It sounds as if there is no compression in the 4 cyl 2.2 engine when attempting to start it on cold mornings. Should I have a compression test done on it? When the weather is warm, it cracks on the first attempt?
mine the similar prob. no start tested a plug in volts gauge and it read 12.4/12.5. replaced battery n it started but not sure old batt we bad. thinking cuz it was jus that the middle on temp gauge. 2 days later same thing(w/new battery) and starter started smoking
