Check your wire harness. Defected harness due to corrosion will cause this to happen depending on corrosion. I just replaced my harness and my car started right up.

And stayed running. I have a 1995 and they didn't start to change the harnesses til around the year your car was made. It's worth a look. It that doesn't work check spark plug wires and Distributor, fuel pump and fuel filter, air filter any thing coming into the engine.

Hopefully you got your answer by now if not i would someone check your cam sensor its a simple repair but it an aggravating problem. Good luck
