What could it be ?

Asked by Guru1LF7S Sep 07, 2019 at 09:04 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My trail blazer won’t go past 2500 rpms, auto
zone printed out a paper saying it was either
the crank position sensor or a timing sensor,
someone else told me not to waist my money
it was the timing chain stretched. Someone
please help I have done put a map sensor,
plugs, coil packs, fuel regulator on. I’m tired
of buying pets and it’s not the problem

Doubt it's your timing chain, these are very stout on the 4.2 and would not be common. You need someone with a capable scanner, at least a Tech II, to point you in the right direction.
