Drained battery

Like it state above, I have a 99
c280. I have brought this to two
deferant mechanics because the
battery(new) keeps dying. First
mech said it was the amp, so it
was unhooked, little bit later the
battery died, brought it to a
differant mechanic and saw that
the trunk light was staying on. So
that was takin out. Well the bAtter
is still dying. Is this car known for
this problem? Does anyone have
suggestions as to what could. Be
the problem? Any imput would be
greatly appreciative. Thanks guys!

I unhooked the positive battery while the car running, its still running, so means alternator is good

Both of the mechanics should have done a parasitic draw test. Perhaps there is another accessory drawing power such as a dome light or aftermarket radio. To answer your question concerning "Is this car known for this type of issue?" Well many cars can have this problem, does not matter what make or model. Good Luck!

Unhooking the battery while running will blow out the diodes in the alternator and cause a hard draw that will kill a battery in a hurry.

NEVER unhook a battery while running. With todays computer systems, you will blow these expensive units. Also like another said. Do a parasitic drain test to determine all circuits pulling on battery while off.
