5w 40 or 10w-30 dependant on the temp range you intend to run it at eg lighter oil in the winter and heavier in the summer. for the 2zz-ge engine it woould not be good if you were using more than say a pint every 3000 to 4000 miles. remember with all those gizmos movinge reall fast in the VVt system its crucial that servicing is regular.

If ya dont know, say ya dont know..the original post did not ask for a brand recomendation...and i suspect that the car did not have the owners manuals when it was purchased and that might be why it was posted..so in all not a very useful post.
