My car started sputtering when I stopped. Now its missing and lost most of its power,I
have checked the timing and its fine. Also my spark plugs have a strong gas smell when
I checked them.

What I would do in this situation is change out the plugs, wires, and air filter. If no improvement, I would then get a can of throttle body cleaner and go right through the throttle body and IAC valve. If no idea how to clean the throttle body or IAC, just youtube IAC valve cleaning. A ton of videos will pop up. Same for throttle body. If you have a strong gas smell from under the hood, I would suspect leaky injectors.

When the engine runs...is the CEL light on? If it is ....you need to know what code or codes are stored. The CEL is connected to your on board computer. It knows what system or sub systen is malfunctioning on your car.
