quick question: the heat in my car works good but
sometimes my thermostat will drop back to cold or
close to it while I'm driving and won't push out
enough hot air to defrost Windows anybody know
what this problem could be???

Sounds like an air bubble in the cooling system or a bad thermostat.
is that a hard to get too spot or do I need a mechanic to look at it?

What size engine? They're in different spots depending on 4 or 6 cyl

Follow the Upper radiator hose on the left side of the radiator (while you're looking at the car from the front) until you see where it clamps to a housing with either 2 or 3 bolts. Take the hose off and remove the housing and it's right there. Be sure to get a new gasket or o-ring and clean both surfaces as best you can. After the new thermostat is installed you'll need to burp all the air bubbles out of the system. If you have a spill free funnel it works the best so you can avoid making a mess. With the radiator cap off start the car and turn the heat all the way to hot, and defogger setting(vents under the windshield inside the car.) Watch the coolant bubble out of the radiator until bubbles stop and be sure to keep checking for warmth coming from the vents as well as keeping an eye on the temp gauge. Hope this helps.

Keep burping the system until both upper and lower radiator hoses are warm/hot to the touch, replace coolant that was lost during the purging and you should be set.
