96 and 99 compatible?

Asked by PureSubaruMI Jul 18, 2017 at 07:48 PM about the 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon AWD

Question type: Car Customization

I recently hit a deer with my 1996 subaru legacy
outback. The hood, radiator support and passenger
side Fender and light are damaged. I recently
purchased a 99 subaru outback. I was going to use
it for the support, cosmetics and hood. Will this
work or did I drop $375 for nothing?

'96-99 OB body parts are almost all interchangeable. Maybe slightly different headlamps' configuration, but otherwise you're in good shape.
