96 subaru legacy brighton EJ22 swap to EJ25 DOHC

Asked by Jimmy Oct 27, 2018 at 01:35 AM about the 1996 Subaru Legacy Brighton Wagon AWD

Question type: Car Customization

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to swap out my 2.2 to a 2.5 DOHC. I want more
horsepower!
Will I run into a wire harness problem? Or transmission  bolt
pattern? Or any problem?
And what year motor would be compatible ? Please help.

stick with the 2.2 unless you want to be spending a lot on repairs. learned that the hard way
