I have a 2003 Subaru Impreza and I was changing a
lugbolt on the left rear tire and where the lugs go in
right behind it it THIS cover type of thing and looks
kinda like a sprocket it broke a little, does anybody
know what it's called or if I need to replace it?
I'd have to say that is a reluctor for the wheel speed sensor. Is there a wheel speed sensor back there? Do you see any wires running to the backing plate?
Agree, that has to be a speed sensor reluctor wheel. You may get lucky and the ABS still work. It depends on what part broke off and how much of it.
What does a wheel speed sensor look like?
