What does the wire labeled PED28 plug to on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix?

I need to know what this wire plugs to. It is unplugged and car runs rough.

A unplugged plugin would be laying around the area it goes into. Just look for that same design female plugin. Sometimes they do not plug into anything.

Where exactly is the wire? Engine compartment? Exactly where in the engine compartment? What color is the wire and how many terminals are on it? -Jim
