When working on a vintage vehicle like this it's always a good idea to have a factory shop manual. Try ebay for a good used one or Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, CA for a reprint. They have a website. The shop manual will have instructions and exploded views of the console and just about everything else on the car. Hope that helps! Jim
