What model transfer case in my 98-99 jeep grand cherokee

Asked by Rick Mar 06, 2016 at 05:41 PM about the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: General

I have a Jeep grand cherokee. Door tag says its a 9/98, but the vin on the
same tag  decodes to a 99. Transfer case busted where the id tag was and I
dont know how to identify which transfer case I need to replace it. The rear
drive section half  is still in the jeep attached to the transmission. See attached
photo of drive shaft type.
