Question type: General

A few years ago, I had some some Sentinel LT225/75R16E tires put on my 2004 Grand Jeep Cherokee.  I've has several problems with my jeep since then,, but when I recently went to buy new tires I was told that the Sentinel tires were to heavy for my jeep and could cause problems.  Is that true?

Yes, you are correct about those tires being too heavy rated for your Jeep. They are designed for Light Trucks like a midsize pickup truck. The designation "LT" means Light Truck. I would guess they ride hard and steering may wander. A good tire shop can advise you and also check you owner's manual or look inside the drive's door jam for information.
