I have a 2000 Audi A8 that I have had some vacuum leaks on for a few months. I've been too busy to deal with them and they look like a pretty big job for a girl who is only 5'3... Anyway, my car died on the highway a few weeks ago and after pulling the codes, I figured that it might be a fuel pump issue after doing a bunch of research and seeing that it's a common problem. I replaced the relay after test the old one and finding it was bad, but still no luck... Would the vacuum leak have anything to do with this issue? Also, what else should I be checking on the car? The only codes that the car has pulled are the lean codes on the cylinders that have the leak. Would there be any codes for anything else with an issue like this or would I just need to check all of the obvious, like the MAF and others?

Just get rid of that thing- while it still runs- you can NOT afford to repair an old Audi, much less an A8- and never, ever, consider buying an Audi again- even an Audi specialist can not fix those things- seriously- do not walk, RUN away-

Well that wasn't helpful at all. I got my Audi with nothing wrong with it for pennies... I put a few bucks into it with the rims, tires, and plastidip... And I have a very nice ride! I love VW... Although I would agree they are very expensive to repair, when you can pick up a nice car for super cheap and drive it for a year without any issues... I can't complain. I wish you would have given me some useful info, but it's ok... You must not have any to give. Thank you anyway.

okay- I got it- you got it for nothing- so nothing to lose- but what I said WAS helpful if you only wanted to hear it- yes, I have something to give- I guess you didn't get the memo, so I was helping you- Audis are junk- good luck-
