Where is the low pressure port for a 1999 Audi A8? Even the AC Pros didn't know. Trying to recharge, but R134A pressure gauge won't fit on what I suspect is the low pressure port.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Trying to save $$, I bought a recharge kit...a can filled with R134A with pressure gauge attached.  No info available about my 1999 A8.  I found what looks like the high and low pressure ports, but it will not fit the end of the hose.  The car frame is too close to the port, and it looks like it wouldn't really fit anyway.  Help.  Please.

There isn't one and there is only the high side port if I'm not mistaken. I had done few at dealer when I was a beginner 10 years ago and I did not waste my time waiting for other techs to finish with the big machine. I got my self a low side port retrofit ( you know the fitting to retrofit r-12 to r-135 and I remove the high pressure switch and install screw Fitting there and with a 12 volt supply I will activate the ac clutch and then I was able to pump some good R134 juice into the system :-) Good luck
