removing oil sensor on 3.0L V6 AVK engine.. how?

Asked by cubgirl Sep 07, 2016 at 03:05 PM about the 2003 Audi A4 3.0 Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We need to remove the oil pressure sensor on an Audi 3.0L V6 with an AVK
engine.  The sensor is located above the oil filter on the oil cooler or the oil pan
facing the front of the engine (some face the rear).  It takes a 22mm wrench to
remove it but nothing fits in the tight space.  It needs to be removed to do a
pressure test with a gauge.  There are plenty of 22mm O2 sensor wrenches but
no oil sensor wrenches in any size.  Any ideas on how this can be removed?
Thanks!
