I took My A-4 (2006, 145k miles) in for a routine oil change. After I got it back the Oil Pressure Light and warning sound kept coming on consistently. The sensor was replaced but still comes on.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can't get the oil pressure indicator to go off or stop sounding.
Tried new sensor and upping the oil viscosity.  After that it didn't come on as
much but it seems to at low speeds or intermittently.  This was from 2
different mechanics.

That is strange, did you try an Audi dealer?

No...but I guess that's next. I drove it for a bit yesterday and it was far better than before. It almost seems to get worse as it warms up. I will say I lost confidence in the dealership.....it took 3 times for them to fix the last sensor issue. That's why I have 2 other mechanics who seem to work well on Audi's. But the last mechanic (who did he oil change) was the ne who changed the oil viscosity and that improved it but didn't stop it entirely.

Has any one actually checked the oil pressure, Some times the oil pump screen gets clogged.
