Watching or roaring noise

just lately, the 2007 Prius is making a terrible
sound when accelerating.  I still have a warranty,  
might this be covered under drive train?

Well, thank you, I do understand that, but haven't visited our Toyota Dealers out here since we moved. I was wondering if maybe m local mechanic might know too, although he is not a Toyota expert. And it's a WHINING, not a watching noise as I posted. Thanks again.
