2007 Prius with bent suspension - how much does this cost to fix

Asked by Paige Nov 19, 2014 at 05:00 PM about the 2007 Toyota Prius FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We don't know whether it is worth fixing up my son-in-law's Prius or to just sell it to
someone for cheap -
it is a 2007 and runs really well - great engine - the only problem is is that it has a ruined
suspension (bent) and it has torn wires that can be spliced for $1,000. at the dealer (bad
tire blowout caused it).  The interior is really dirty, too.
If we sell it, how much would it be worth?  It has approximately 120,000. miles on it.

Turn it in to his insurance company. Its a hybrid and they are stupid expensive to work on and very dangerous too. Whoever quoted you the $1000 are they a good reputable mechanic who has knowledge of hybrids?

I just caught that you said the dealer. A new Toyota dealer, correct? As far as selling it with all the damage it will be hard to do because it sounds like its not driveable.
