What is causing my oil pressure gauge to be so erratic?

So yesterday I replaced the spark plugs on my car, the car started up and drove great.
Then today while driving it I noticed the oil pressure gauge would drop to low when I would
go up or down hill, around a curve, or when coming to a stop. Then a ticking sound
started occurring from the drivers side of the car, which I think is a bad lifter. Does
anyone have any ideas?

Add to that the possibility that you are very low on oil. Check it first
