car has been running great. Couple weeks ago was running errands. Came out of store and car wouldn't start. Battery was fine and starter was fine. Left it there overnight, next morning it fired right up and drove it with no problems for 2 weeks. Today it did the same thing. After letting it sit for 3 - 4 hours it fired right up again. Help please!!!!!
Go to a repair shop and get the codes read. Get a can of starting fluid and next time it doesn't start, give it a couple second spray in the intake. If it fires, you have a fuel problem. If it doesn't fire, you have a ignition problem. Something is failing when it gets hot. You might reduce the waiting time by leaving the hood open.
had the same thing happen to my 2005 toyota corolla, after replacing the battery, a mechanic buddy of mine took off the starter and it had corrosion on the inside of the starter, haven't had a problem since then.
