Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It sounds like I hear the fuel pump kick in when I make the bridge.  Also it runs fine until I
shut it off and the i have to bridge it again.

Bad switch or lose / broken wire or connection. Clean all the connections you can reach and if you can pull the ignition switch, make sure the connections are corrosion free. I'd have to agree with CameroCollector though.
