Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am getting no fuel spray from the throttle body injector nozzles when I try to start my 84 Corvette. It is turning over at a normal RPM but no gas.  What the best way to diagnose the problem?

your car has a fuel rail that connects to the intake manifold how are you capable of seeing the injector spray??????????????????????? its not a TBI and the TBI is the only setup that allows you to see the injectors.

Well there are only a few things that could impede fuel flow. You've got the simple mechanical items like fuel pump, fuel filter and the throttle bodies themselves. If neither one is delivering fuel, then it has to be pump or filter. The filter usually doesn't completely stop fuel flow. It may slow it down at high flow rates but usually does not cause failure to start. That leaves the pump or an electrical issue to power it as mentioned above with oil pressure. Except that no engine has oil pressure at start up, so that is not likely it. But there may be some other sensor or an issue with the computer that could keep it from starting.

Is that any way to bypass the sensor system and ignition and apply a jumper to the pump to see if it functions? It has a 3 pin connector and the middle pin has about 11 volts of power to it, but I don;t know what state the other two pins should be in.
